~ CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY ~
Knitting at Birkhill Castle

You may cancel your place at any time and we will refund the payments you have made to us minus your initial deposit and any costs that we are not able to recover at the point of cancellation. The closer it gets to the start of the retreat the lower the refund will be as there will inevitably be fewer costs that we are able to recover. There can be no refunds whatsoever for cancellations less than 30 days from the start of the retreat.
If you cancel and we are able to re-sell your spot at the price you paid for it we will refund what you have paid in full, minus your initial deposit. If we re-sell the spot at a price lower than what you paid for it then the refund we make to you will be reduced accordingly.
We strongly recommend that you have adequate travel and health insurance policies in place should you need to cancel your booking due to unexpected events. We would recommend that your insurance cover includes, but is not necessarily limited to: illness, personal accident and injury, medical expenses, return flights in the event of injury (if applicable), missed flights (if applicable), any other specific personal conditions which may result in you not being able to attend your booking. It is also recommended that your insurance includes personal liability cover in case of accidental damage caused by you as this will not be covered by our insurance.
