Hello Lovely People 😊
My 50th came and went without a knees-up, and so did my 60th, but this one’s not getting away from me! So. as a VIP in my life, I’d like to invite you to help me celebrate seven decades on this planet at my Big Birthday at Goodnestone Park in Kent in May.
I’ve taken over the whole House at Goodnestone and I’d love you to join me and stay as my guest. I’m working on the plans as I write this, but there’ll defo be an an evening meal on Friday 8th, a dinner and party on Saturday 9th May (fancy dress, naturally), and a lunchtime roast on Sunday 10th. You’re welcome for all three days! *
I’m aiming for a relaxed house party kind of vibe so think games, optional activities, music, walks and entertainment! If you want to peel off and do your own thing at any point there’s plenty to see in the area including Canterbury, Rye, Sissinghurst Castle Gardens and Deal.
There’s room at the House for most of us to stay, plus there’s other bookable accommodation locally. If you can let me know as soon as you can on which dates you’d like to come I’ll get to work on the room plans.
I don’t want any birthday presents, but that doesn’t mean you’re off the hook! I’d love some help behind the scenes at Goodnestone with the organisation and entertainment, eg, making cocktails, washing up, playing the piano or emceeing a game - I’ll make a list ahead of time (of course 😉). I’ll probably also ask you to bring a bottle of two of wine and maybe other ingredients as well.
There’s ample parking at the House and train stations nearby (see right) and taxis are easily available.
There’ll be more details to come, but first I need to know who’s coming and when so please fill in the form below.

*Fyi, I’ve actually booked Goodnestone from Tuesday 5 to Monday 11 May. If anyone would like to stay for the entire stretch let me know as you’d be welcome. There’s good WIFI for anyone needing to check emails.

There are lovely rooms available for most guests but not all particularly for the night of Saturday 9 May.Let me know as soon as poosible on which dates you'd like to come
