TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

1. The closing dates for entry is 10 May 2020.  

2. By entering the competition entrants warrant that all information submitted by them is true, current, and complete. Entrants also warrant that they are the copyright owners of any copyright works submitted, e.g. photographs and The Textile Retreat Company & Christine Mayer’s use of such works (which you permit) will not infringe the rights of any third party.

3.  The entry instructions are listed above.

4. The competition is open to entrants from all over the world. The entrant is responsible for the cost of postage to the UK and will be supplied with the address details if they are chosen as one of the winners. The Textile Retreat Company is not responsible for any damage or loss of the textile before it reaches the address given.

5. The Textile Retreat Company will cover the cost of returning the item to the original owner .

6. The prize is as specified in the competition information and no monetary alternative will be offered.

7. Winners agree that The Textile Retreat Company and Christine Mayer have free range to alter, and change the original textile as they see fit to create a new garment incorporating different fabrics, other garments and notions as Christine sees fit to create the finished design. The textile will not be returned in its original form.

8. The Textile Retreat Company may exercise its sole discretion to use the winner’s name or social media handle, their image and their comments relating to the prize and competition experience for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without notice or without any fee being paid.

9. The Textile Retreat Company’s decision is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into. Entry implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.

10. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which are beyond the reasonable control of The Textile Retreat Company and which prevents The Textile Retreat Company from complying with these terms and conditions The Textile Retreat Company will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.

11. The Textile Retreat Company reserves the right to cancel, amend, withdraw, terminate or temporarily suspend this challenge in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties but will use all reasonable endeavours to avoid entrants’ disappointment.

12. The Challenge and these terms and conditions, and any disputes arising therefrom, shall be subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh Courts.

13. Data Protection: Any personal information that entrants share with The Textile Retreat Company and Christine Mayer will be kept secure. By entering the promotion, entrants agree that their information may be used by The Textile Retreat Company to administer the promotion and winners consent to give their name and country for the winners’ list.
